The Challenges

You will provide clinical psychological services for both inpatients and outpatients within the psychiatric and medical services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.  You would assess, diagnose and intervene with people in dealing with life challenges, particularly those with relatively serious forms of psychological distress and/ or psychopathology. The services would include psychometric assessments of cognitive, personality, emotional and neuropsychological functions in relatively serious forms of psychological distress and/ or psychopathology and consultation liaison work with other medical teams. Individual and group therapy will also be offered through the application of psychological interventions to individuals with psychiatric conditions. You will also contribute to mental health promotion programmes and psychological duties within the institute’s framework.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in or conduct research.
 
 
The Requirements

• Degree or Masters in the relevant Allied Health Professions from a recognized university
• Registered with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable
• Team player, possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Patient focus, genuine desire to make a difference
• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care
•  Passionate about building a healthcare career, inspired to move ahead with challenges, possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to thrive in fast paced environment
