The Challenges

You will join the pharmacy team to provide a wide range of patient-oriented services to inpatients and outpatients. Besides dispensing and counselling patients on their medications, you will work closely with physicians to recommend and monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information. Using your clinical knowledge, you will identify, resolve and prevent drug related problems, thus ensuring safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. You will have opportunities to practice pharmaceutical care in a comprehensive range of disciplines available in the hospital. You will also be involved in management of patients in the anticoagulation and heart failure clinics to achieve a specific therapeutic outcome. In addition you will provide drug information and educate patients and family on their medications. You are also expected to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

• Registered with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable
